A is for Arapahoe who roamed this great land
B is for beets on the barn in a band
C's for the cow in the corn by the creek And the Crow ridin' herd with a bug in its beak
D is for dinos whose tracks you might find
E is for eggshells, their babes left behind
F is for fence at the edge of the farm To keep the cows near, within sight of the barn
G is for geese who like to fly high You might find their shadows cast down from the sky
H is for harvest, before autumn comes in
I is for ice where you skate and you spin
J is jackrabbit, who hops with big ears
K's Mr. Koch, who farmed here for years
L is for Long's the peak you might spy
M is for Meeker the mountain nearby
N is for nests of birds in the trees
O is for Owl, It's night when he sees
P is the Piggy, pray she won't fall Practicing prancing with bright parasol
Q is for quack the sound that ducks make
R is for Rooster whose crow makes us wake
S is the snaking long line of the creek Where all the small animals play hide and go seek
T is for tractor with green turtle seat And the turkey who's driving out threshing the wheat
U is the shape of a strong metal shoe It's fine for a horse but it will not fit you
V is the shape the geese make in flight They like to fly south before it snows white
W is willows, they grow where it's wet This precious plant we sometimes forget
X & Y are not words, but the shapes of a branch Find these shapes growing and do a quick dance
Z is for Zebra you won't find quite near There's a world to discover when you're finished here
