Second in a series of plazas along the Boulder Greenway, the design of this space draws its inspiration from the boulder creek corridor. Impressions of native birds and nearby trees are etched into the pavement. A poem by Christian Muller leads people from the adjacent bike path into the plaza. An inlayed bronze leaf finishes the poem and marks the spot for an outstanding view of the flatirons to the west. A spiral path of exposed aggregate concrete intersects the plaza. This trail was an established desire path prior to construction of the new plaza and was integrated as a defining design element.
"How dependent we are on each others breath I feel this vividly as I draw in slowly the air you have just breathed and every other creature has used to create one atmosphere" -Christian Muller
